Commission Pricing

My commissioned work is created through a visionary, intuitive process that prioritizes symbolic resonance, material integrity, and conceptual depth. Each piece is developed through discernment, sound, and instinctive composition, and is intended to function as a cohesive work of fine art rather than a decorative or illustrative object. For this reason, commissions are approached and priced as bespoke original works.

Intimate Commission
Smaller original mixed‑media collage

• Approximately 12" × 12" or equivalent

• Artist‑led process with limited client input

• Subtle embedded text, words, or intentions as revealed through the process

• Investment: $400–$700

 

Standard Visionary Commission
Medium‑scale original mixed‑media collage

• Approximately 18" × 24" or 24" × 24"

• One preliminary conversation to understand context or intention

• Artist‑led symbolism, color, and composition

• Embedded words, prayers, or written elements integrated into the work

• Investment: $800–$1400

 

Signature Visionary Commission

Large‑scale, fully bespoke original artwork

• 30" × 30" and larger

• Extended creative development and material layering

• Highly refined composition with complex symbolic structure

• Embedded text or intentions woven throughout the piece

• Investment: $1500 and up

 

Process

A non‑refundable deposit of 50% is required to begin all commissions, with the remaining balance due upon completion. Typical turnaround ranges from 4 to 8 weeks, depending on scale and complexity. Because the work is created through an intuitive, artist‑led process, revisions are limited to practical or structural considerations rather than conceptual direction.

Important Notes

Each commission is an original, one‑of‑a‑kind work created specifically for its intended recipient. While clients may share context, themes, or intentions, the imagery, symbolism, palette, and composition are resolved through the creative process and cannot be pre‑designed, previewed, or replicated.

This approach ensures the integrity and authenticity of the finished work.

Why Are Commissions Priced This Way?

Each piece is an original work of fine art. Pricing reflects the time, materials, and conceptual development required to produce a fully resolved, exhibition‑quality artwork.

The process is bespoke, not customizable. Unlike design work, commissions are not built through client direction or iterative approval. The value lies in the artist’s discernment and authorship.

Materials and labor are intensive. Mixed‑media collage involves significant layering, sourcing, and archival construction.

Artistic integrity is preserved. Pricing helps ensure commissions are undertaken by collectors who value process, trust the artist’s vision, and understand the difference between illustration and fine art.

Commissioned work is best suited for collectors who are drawn to the artist’s existing body of work and are comfortable allowing imagery and meaning to emerge organically. Requests for specific imagery, exact symbolism, or extensive control over outcome may not be compatible with this practice.
